Cary Lynn features in the novella I'm always talking about writing (Hallowed) but never actually spend any time writing. Instead, I rotate Cary Lynn in my brain like a fucking spherical cow and think about how he's my personal patron saint of the 8 of swords and write mini essays about him to my friends on Discord at 3 in the afternoon. 

I'll probably finish the short story all about Cary sooner than I finish the novella where he is introduced as a side character.

Anyways, here's the trouble with Cary that plagues him into the "present day" where his short story takes place. The 8 of swords is his card but the abuse wasn't his fault -- something else is. Perhaps it would make more sense if there was a novel and novella preceding the publication of this zineto flesh out his character and make the concept really hit. lol. check back in a few years, see if it makes more sense.

A side note, Elspeth's already done some really sick artwork for Hallowed that will eventually be used as the cover art. At this rate, it's fucking comical that I haven't finished writing that damn piece of work.... brb.....
